WHY BE HOLY ?

POEM FOR SHABBOS PARSHAS EMOR

With sights of wonders such as Seas

Or stars in Heavens without surcease

And thoughts of Ends despite eternity

There is but ‘One’ that is Necessary.

We need not revere in marvel or Awe

Thinking journey’s end is a sandy shore

Nor purpose need demand one pause

To discern design, reason or cause.
